About Me.

We all have a story, and here is a look at the story behind ICH Consulting LLC.

For 21 years I have seen the world a little differently. The sky's not blue, the grass isn't green and stoplights are tricky; I am colorblind. Being colorblind is many things, its difficult to pick out the color shirt I am wearing, or if the pen I am using is actually blue, there are questions that I have to ask myself everyday...my goal is to help those who see the world "normally" peak into the view of myself and 300 million other colorblind people!

I was born and raised in the piedmont of North Carolina, a dairy farm on one hand and the city in the other. As a child I learned that I was colorblind, because I always wanted a purple, actually blue, 1967 Pontiac GTO a dream my dad had instilled in me with his love of classic cars. This passion led to every car show being a question-answer of "What color is that?" My family was memorized by the difference in what I was seeing!

Your business is no different, no matter what I or the 300 million other people are looking at, we have to ask, what color is that? My way of adapting as a severely colorblind individual is the trusty label maker and a normal color vision seeing person, my mom, to help me see! Now as I live on my own in college, mom and dad aren't always there to tell me what color I'm looking at, so I got creative!

When I go somewhere on my phone, or a new place, I might not be able to read the text, or the menu's because of certain colors used together. My experience now as a digital marketing student at Western Carolina University has given me tools to help myself and others visualize the world in a new, interesting way, like gray scaling menu's and signage. My job at ICH Consulting LLC is to help your company see the world through another set of eyes, so that no one has to miss the message your company is trying to provide!
